FRATZ.STUDIO is a Berlin-based knitwear label combining traditional techniques with experimental materials.
Using electronic knitting machines and natural fibers, each piece is developed in-house – with a focus on clean cuts and tactile surfaces.
Handmade crayons and custom buttons have become part of the studio’s signature.
FRATZ means silly child – a reminder to stay playful, even when things get technical.

How to care for your knitwear
Wool doesn’t need much washing – airing out often does the trick.
When washing, fill a basin with cold water and a little wool detergent. Soak for 5–10 minutes, gently press out water (no wringing!), then roll in a towel to remove excess moisture.
Dry flat, reshaping while damp. Avoid hanging, especially jumpers, to keep their shape.
If machine washing is indicated on the care label, follow the instructions carefully: wool cycle, cold water, low spin, and use a laundry bag.
Store folded, and expect some pilling — a fabric shaver will help.
Treat your knitwear well, and it will last.
Ready to ship vs. Made to order
Some pieces are ready to ship – these are one-of-a-kind or small stock items, made in advance and available for immediate dispatch (within 1 week).
Other items are made to order – produced individually after purchase, just for you. Please allow 4–8 weeks for production before shipping.
Due to the handmade nature of the work, delivery times may vary slightly – especially during busy periods.
